See All ReviewsFood, drinks, service and ambiance were great! Had the Salmon 1 night (the sauce is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G) and chicken fried steak the next night( good with very large portions). Came back for the buffet- would recommend to put names of what items are. But my favorite at the buffet were the chicken strips, biscuits n gravy, salad bar and the mashed potatoes with corn!! Leanne was the best waitress, very attentive!
We were a little hesitant about visiting this restaurant, the reviews were about 50/50. One thing that gave us the push to go was the pictures. We Love us some home cooking and that’s everything we seen. Well I am so glad we did, the young guy that greeted us was also our waiter, and a VERY kind person. Our drinks were never empty and our table never cluttered, he took care of the whole dining area. Never once did he seem rushed or unable to help with the small requests. Just wish we had gotten his name, Open carrying gentleman that’s the only clue I have to send 5STARS!!! As far as the establishment it was warm and welcoming and they just did the floors, I overheard that from some RETURNING guests. Everything was clean and loved the home made stuff in the front close to the check out counter. Now the to the food, so many post said not seasoned. Oh it was perfectly seasoned for the public, but not for the individual. We added salt on this and pepper sauce on that and even some Louisiana on the chicken. But that is to perfect it for our own taste. Everything thing was fresh, hot, and kept Full. (We were there on a Saturday close to noon) I really have to brag on there fried chicken it is the absolute best. I rarely eat fried chicken because it’s always so dry, not here! So to sum it up, if you are not from the area and looking for good food…. Give them a try.
First of all, it says STEAKHOUSE in the name, but they didn't serve steak. Second of all, the meat that my bf and Mom ate looked like it was radioactive, the biscuits were too thick, and the fish was a really odd color, but was edible. The best part of the meal was the sweet tea my mom had. We ended up paying for 3 drinks and 3 adult buffets, 63.00. Outrageous. I do not recommend.
